This type of photo paper is \”Cast Coated\” glossy photo paper and what does it means?
Cast Coated means—On the original paper surface coated with a layer of micron-sized silicon oxide (about 2 microns,larger two orders of magnitude than RC waterproof paper), in order to achieve \”glossy\” effect, in the production process using chrome rail die casting, so it called \”cast coated paper\”. Silicon oxide coating is completely waterproof, but paper base not waterproof, the cast-coated paper is \”semi-waterproof\”, should not tough much water.
